Aeroflot Poster Exhibit Comes to Vladivostok from New York
On October 8, Pol/Econ Officer Stephen Kovacsics took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibit "The History of Aeroflot in Posters" at the Arsenyev Museum's International Exhibit Center. The traveling exhibit began in New York to commemorate the 50th anniversary of official cultural exchange between the USSR and the USA and the 40th anniversary of Aeroflot's first direct Moscow-New York flight. In his remarks Stephen Kovacsics stressed the significance of the exhibit as a symbol of friendship between the two countries and reaffirmed the US Consulate General’s continued support in expanding cultural and educational ties between the Russian Far East and the United States. The event was widely covered by local media.
