Consulate Vladivostok is Worthy of Alice Cooper Visit!
The Consulate hosted rocker Alice Cooper and a member of the group Scorpions on June 23 for an American-style barbeque and Russian shashlik party. The Consulate invited friends from the Vladivostok arts community as well as Future Leaders Exchange program alumni. In his welcoming remarks Consul General Tom Armbruster thanked the musicians for coming to Vladivostok where they will have an immediate and real connection with their fans and will continue the fine cultural diplomacy from American artists that has included jazz bands, hip-hop musicians, and youth orchestras over the years. A local youth band provided the entertainment and everyone had a chance to be photographed with the legendary rock star. Alice Cooper performed in Vladivostok on June 24 along with Scorpions, Kingdom Come, and The Rasmus.
