Consul General Tom Armbruster, his spouse Kathy, and Public Affairs Officer Bridget
Gersten met with FLEX alumni to discuss joint community outreach partnerships.
PAO Gersten gave a presentation on upcoming public diplomacy events, inviting
FLEX alumni to take part in these programs - particularly when official American
delegations visit the city. Kathy Armbruster gave an engaging presentation of
her experience hosting a FLEX student from Tajikistan. During the Q&A, FLEX
alumni expressed their appreciation for the Consulate's interest and consideration,
and they promised to help the Consulate promote mutual understanding, including
during the visit of the 90-piece Long Island Youth Orchestra (LIYO) in July.
