On February 29, the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok and Primorskiy State Arsenyev Museum celebrated the opening of the photo exhibit "Miracles of Photography: Early 20th Century Russia in Color: Photographs by Sergey Prokudin-Gorskiy'. Thanks to the U.S. Library of Congress, the photographic legacy of this Russian pioneer of color photography was preserved and became available to the whole world online. The Vladivostok exhibit consists of 59 unique print reproductions prepared by the U.S. Consulate General in Yekaterinburg and includes images of Russia in early 20th century. Over 80 local notables and journalists attended the grand opening, and hundreds of Vladivostok guests and citizens have a unique opportunity to enjoy these images until the end of March.
