Fulbrighter Continues Poetry Series at the American Corner
On November 12, Fulbrighter David Kessel continued his poetry series at the American Corner. This week's subject was the great Anglo-American poet, W. H. Auden. Auden is not an easy poet, but the group, consisting of several students and professionals dove right in. After listening to a short biography of the poet and a reading of one of his poems, they read it aloud themselves, followed by a discussion. These events give people a unique opportunity both to hear some great poetry in English, and to engage it directly.
