U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Visits Vladivostok

On September 16-18, the US Coast Guard Cutter paid a working visit to Vladivostok. The arrival of the SYCAMORE was part of an official visit of the U.S. Coast Guard delegation to the Regional Boarder Guard of the Russian Far East Federal district's Federal Security Service (FSB). During the media briefing Vice Admiral Jody A. Breckeridge, Commander, U.S. Coast Guard  Pacific Area, and her Russian counterpart General-Lieutenant Valeriy Putov briefed journalists on the productive negotiations held on the progress of U.S.-Russian cooperation. As a result of the visit, dozens of  newspaper articles and media reports appeared in local and national media.  The reports were very positive and varied, touching upon topics such as the welcome ceremony to individual interviews with SYCAMORE crew members.
