John Deere Combines Harvest in Primorye
Just one year after the initial proposal by a Primorye based company, American agricultural equipment from world renowned agricultural company John Deere arrived at Primorye farms. Vladivostok Development Holding invested over 12 million dollar in new American agricultural equipment in order to support local farms and food producers. The equipment arrived in Russia just in time for the harvest season and was tested in the fields this fall. On October 15, in their meeting with U.S. Consul General Tom Armbruster, both Russian and American businessmen stressed the importance of the deal and were very optimistic about the long-term perspectives of their partnership. According to the Russian businessmen, the perfect combination of technical excellence and easy functions make the American agricultural equipment ideal for the Russian market. The Consulate has assisted with visas for both sides and sees the deal as proof of the inevitable mutually beneficial economic and trade relations between Russia and the USA.
