Vladivostok Culinary Festival 2008

The U.S. Agricultural Trade Office traditionally participates in the Vladivostok Culinary Festival. This year the 5th Culinary Festival brought together around 10,000 experts from all the corners of the Russian Far East. U.S. Consul General Tom Armbruster greeted participants and organizers at the opening ceremony on September 12 and accepted a plaque of appreciation awarded to the U.S. Agricultural Trade office for its long-term support for the hospitality industry. More than 350 attendees visited ATO Informational booth to learn more about U.S. poultry, beef and pork, California almonds, wine, and fruit. An “American Food School” master class was devoted to menus that included turkey, cheesecake, croissants, cinnamon buns, almonds, pears, grapes and California wine.  The U.S. Agricultural Trade Office presented experts such as Galina Kochubeyeva, U.S. Meat Export Federation, Marina Dakhnova, Tayson Foods, and John Toaspern of the U.S. Potato Board. Sabrina Yin, U.S. Meat Export Federation, Singapore office, presented a master class and seminar on American beef and pork.
