California Grapes in Vladivostok
From August to October, the California Table Grape Commission has been promoting sales of California grapes in the largest supermarkets of Vladivostok. Consumers are given an opportunity to taste different varieties of California grapes, participate in drawings for prizes, and receive free packages of grapes for purchasing an initial three packages of grapes. This is the second year that California grapes have been made available in Vladivostok. Consumers like the sweetness of the grapes, along with the juicy quality and tempting appearance. But they are sorry that they can only enjoy the fabulous taste of California Grapes for two months out of the year. The Russian Far East is one of the most promising regions for exporting California grapes. The California Table Grape Commission is planning to be more active in marketing the product in order to increase awareness and sales in the region.
