Children's Rights will be Taught in Primorye Schools

On August 25th, Primorye School of Human Rights conducted a day long seminar for 105 elementary school teachers on educating children about their rights and responsibilities.  The event marked the 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  The USAID-funded “Our Rights” program, managed by Management Systems International (MSI) supported the project with a grant;  the support was used to launch a new course on human rights.  The course will be included into the elementary school curriculum of Primorye schools in the upcoming academic year.  Public Affairs Officer Sylva Etian welcomed the participants and stressed the support of the U.S. government in promoting human rights around the globe.
