International Education Week 2007 in Vladivostok
Some three hundred students and faculty of all major Vladivostok universities attended International Education Week 2007, filling the biggest auditorium of Vladivostok. PAO Bridget Gersten greeted the audience and thanked representatives of foreign consulates who provided information about educational opportunities in their countries. Legislative Committee Chairman Victor Gorchakov gave welcoming remarks, and U.S. Consul General Tom Armbruster told students about his personal experience hosting a FLEX student from Tajikistan. A range of topics were covered by alumni and representatives of IREX, the American Councils for International Education, the European University, the Fulbright program, and the English Language Fellow program.
