English Language Program Draws Crowds
At the beginning of December, Visiting English Language Specialist Kevin McCaughey conducted three days of workshops for university students and teachers of English in Vladivostok. This program kicked off a four-city English language teaching program, with the next stops in Blagoveschensk, Birobididzhan, and Khabarovsk. U.S. Consulate is using this opportunity to showcase the 200th anniversary of U.S. - Russia diplomatic relations, including the launch of a new multimedia textbook "American Potpourri." In Vladivostok, 150 students and teachers attended McCaughey's lectures and workshops, remarking how motivating and interesting they were.
