Vladivostok Consul General Hosts Reception in Honor of American Movie Makers
On September 17, the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok hosted a reception in honor of American movie makers who visited Vladivostok to participate in the 5th International Film Festival Pacific Meridian. Approximately one hundred representatives of the movie industry from all over the world, diplomats, cultural officials, and arts activists gathered at the reception to honor U.S.-Russian cooperation in culture. Three American movies became an integral part of the festival program consisting of 166 films. Famous U.S. actress Olympia Dukakis and Rock Brynner the son of Academy Award winner Yul Brynner held a series of presentations for Vladivostok students and movie art fans.
