American Pages of Vladivostok History
On October 16th, an honorary citizen of Vladivostok and a famous historian Nelly Miz launched a series of lectures at the Gorkiy Library dedicated to the Americans who lived in Vladivostok and contributed to the city’s development in one way or another. Nelly Miz began her lecture with events that took place a century earlier… when the first American entrepreneurs came to the city in search of prosperity. She related how they contributed significantly to the development of the city, which is evident today in the architecture. The series of lectures will be held every month for seven months.
