Vladivostok CG Launches International Education Week via Digital Links with the Americas
On November 13, launching a slate of events during International Education Week, U.S. Consul General Armbruster and Public Affairs Officer Gersten visited Vladivostok's Maritime State University (MSU) to take part in a link between MSU, East Carolina University in the USA and University of San Ignacio De Loyola in Lima, Peru. Students from different universities on three different continents discussed family values and traditions in different cultures. The Consul General emphasized that this link was not a one time class, but part of an ongoing discipline in the curriculum of all participating universities. The online project was launched in March 2007 after the signing of agreement about joint Global Understanding Project. At present, this project unites universities from 18 countries around the world.
