DVC with Osaka-Kobe American Center
On December 4, 20 students from several Vladivostok universities came to the U.S. Consulate General to join Kansai American Corner (Osaka) audience though a DVC. The guest speaker in Osaka was Massie Ritsch, who is the Communications Director for the Center for Responsive Politics, the premier American research group tracking money in U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy. In his presentation "How to follow the 2008 presidential campaign", Mr. Ritsch talked about the 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections, major candidates and about the way U.S. elections are financed and how the money flowing to politicians can be made more transparent.
