Vladivostok Consul General Promotes Business Opportunities in the Russian Far East for American Companies
Consul General Tom Armbruster traveled to Seattle in early December to inform American companies of new opportunities in the Russian Far East and encourage American companies to take advantage of an improved business climate. Seattle is already deeply involved in with Russia through trade, cultural contacts, and NGO activity, but many companies still remain caucious about investing in the Russian Far East. Consul General met with businessmen, addressed the Seattle political crowd at the Foundation for Russian-American Economic Cooperation (FRAEC) annual gala, attended a press conference announcing the return of direct flights between the U.S. and the Russian Far East, and spoke at a reception at the Russian Consulate.
