Youth Outreach on Popov Island
On August 19-20, Consular Officer Jeff Rotering travelled to Popov Island to participate in a two-week Russian Far East Model UN Club summer camp. He made presentations to the 50 English-speaking campers about leadership and personality styles, Indian Reservations in the U.S., life in Rural America, and the work of diplomats. During their camp experience, the 13-17 year old students learned about public speaking, leadership, debate techniques, creative thinking, international relations, and team building.
