USS Lassen and USS Patriot of the U.S. Seventh Fleet Visit Vladivostok

On September 24-28, two ships of the U.S. Seventh Fleet paid a third visit to Vladivostok during this year. While on shore, U.S. sailors actively participated in the cultural and social life of the city. The U.S. Consulate and Russian Pacific Fleet headquarters jointly organized a number of social, cultural, and commemorative events -- including a wreath laying ceremony at the WWII Memorial. Commanding officers of the U.S. ships and the U.S. Consul General Tom Armbruster hosted a reception aboard the DDG-82 Lassen for Russian Pacific Fleet officers, city dignitaries, cultural, and educational activists. The joint Pacific Eagle exercises will conclude the visit.
