Human Trafficking Issues Draw a Crowd at American Corner
On September 25, Vladivostok's American Corner hosted a meeting with a group of American experts on the human trafficking from USAID, the Department of State, and U.S. Embassy Moscow. Twenty-five young men and women came to the meeting to learn more about this global problem. A lively discussion followed introduction of each of the panelists, and participants discussed the local situation in the Primorskiy kray of Russia, an area where human trafficking issues are important due to its proximity with China, Korea and Japan.
