U.S. Consul General Visits USAID Partner in Southern Primorye
On September 17th, U.S. Consul General Tom Armbruster and USAID Senior Advisor Jess Bratton conducted a site visit to Slavyanka municipality where they met with Mayor Andrey Yurchenko and his staff. Slavyanka is a partner for University Place, WA, under the USAID-funded US-RFE Municipal Partnership program. Mr. Yurchenko provided a briefing on the results of their recently completed exchange visit to University Place and expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming visit of University Place's City Manager to Slavyanka. Under the program, the two cities will implement programs designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Local Governance in Slavyanka.
