Sustainability Training Seminars are Held in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk
On December 16-17, USAID Program Representative in the RFE Irina Lindberg joined 30 participants during a two-day seminar “Sustainability Issues for Advocacy NGOs” held in Vladivostok. Advocacy NGO representatives participated in sustainability training seminars in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk during December 16-19. These sessions were designed to develop their fundraising and strategic planning skills. Management Systems International (MSI) conducted the training seminars as part of the USAID-funded Our Rights project. Both seminars were led by Mikhail Savva and Svetlana Sergeyeva, MSI experts from the Southern Federal Okrug, who focused on building planning and organizational skills to help the Russian Far East NGOs adapt and respond quickly to current economic and social challenges. The trainers also stressed the importance of setting short and long-term goals, and of having effective management that works efficiently to achieve those goals.
