USAID-funded Interregional Conference Held in Bychikha Settlement
On May 30 - 31, 2009, the USAID team and over 120 participants met for a USAID-funded Interregional Conference in Bychikha settlement (Khabarovskiy kray). The conference’s goal was to share successes and best practices and to recognize established partnerships in the settlements participating in the Municipal Community Alliances Program (MuCAP). This program is conducted by the Khabarovsk Krai Charitable Public Organization “Green House” with USAID financial support. While welcoming program participants on the first day of the conference, the USAID team was greeted by MuCAP program partners bearing letters of appreciation to the U.S. Ambassador to Russia, the U.S. Consul General in Vladivostok, and the USAID Mission Director in Russia. On subsequent of the Conference, the USAID Assessment team conducted site visits to the remote focus settlements where various projects had been implemented during the last three years.
