How to get visa information

Thank you for your interest in traveling to the United States of America. Starting August 6 2007, the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok has provided all visa- related information through a user-pays call center.

This call center allows us to provide prompt and thorough service to public. Previously, callers who wished to inquire about a visa matter with the Consulate sometimes experienced delays before their call was connected to a consular employee. This service, operated by the Direct Star company, offers callers immediate access to a wide range of visa-related information and the opportunity to speak with a live operator from 08:00 to 20:00 Moscow time. This system provides callers with a high level of service and alleviates the frustration of those who were not able to reach the Consulate for basic information about visas.

The call center provides information on all visa-related topics, both immigrant and non-immigrant and is accessible through the following numbers:

From Russia: (495) 787-2257, (495) 755-9323. Cost 71 rubles per minute, with a 213 ruble minimum.

From the U.S.A.: 1-888-222-5673. Payment by credit card only. Cost $12 per call, regardless of duration.

Operators are available from 8:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, Monday through Friday.

The U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok no longer accepts direct calls from the public on visa-related matters. General information, of course, will continue to be available on the Internet at http://vladivostok.usconsulate.gov.

If you have not found the information you were looking for, please e-mail us at vladcons@state.gov.
