Russian Far East NGOs Learn the Results of the USAID-Funded Social Development Programs For Rural Areas
On October 12, NGO Green House, in partnership with the Khabarovsk regional government and the city of Vyazemsky, organized a Forum on Sustainable Rural Livelihoods, under the USAID-funded "Municipal Community Alliances Program" (SAM), administered by Management Systems International (MSI). The forum was recognized by the regional authorities as the largest conference of its kind ever hosted outside of the regional capital, with some 200 participants from the governmental, business and NGO sectors of the local communities. Events included a site visit to the border settlement of Vinogradovka and photo exhibition of program events throughout the first year of project implementation.
