Business Travel or Medical Treatment in the U.S.
In case of emergency travel for business or medical reasons in
order to expedite the processing time, visa applicants are welcome
to contact the Consulate directly either by phone (4232-30 00 70)
or by E-mail: Vladcons@state.gov
to discuss the possibility of submitting the visa documents to the
Consulate directly.
Visa for Medical Treatment in the U.S.
Applicants seeking nonimmigrant visas for medical treatment must
submit the following documents.
- Diagnosis from a doctor in Russia. This statement must be signed
and stamped by the doctor or hospital that has been providing
treatment and include both a recommendation for a particular form
of treatment in the U.S. and an explanation of why that treatment
cannot be obtained in Russia. An English translation must be included.
- Diagnosis from a doctor in the U.S. This letter from the doctor
or hospital in the U.S. must confirm that the patient is accepted
for treatment and show exactly what treatment will be provided
and the dates of treatment.
- Estimated cost of treatment ( may be included in # 2)
- Proof of payment in the form of:
- A letter from a U.S. citizen or a resident who is covering the
expenses of treatment and proof of sufficient funds to cover the
entire cost of the treatment.
OR
- A letter from the hospital or doctor confirming that the treatment
is free of charge (if that is the case).
OR
- A letter from the hospital or doctor confirming that payment
was already received in full from the Russian side and transcripts
of bank transfers.
The sponsor hospital should explain in writing under what circumstances
and at what cost it will provide treatment, and what kind of treatment
or hospitalization may be required following the anticipated diagnosis.
