Transit Visas

A transit visa is issued for the purposes of immediate and continuous travel through the United States to another country.

In order to qualify for a transit visa applicants should demonstrate that they are in the possession of a common carrier ticket or present other evidence of transportation arrangements to the final destination, sufficient funds to carry out the purpose of the journey, and permission to enter another country unless there is evidence that such permission is not required.

Applicants should have their flight reservations and visas to a third country ready before applying for a transit visa.
