Zero Sum Game between Russia and the U.S. is Gone with the Cold War

On October 15, US Consul General Tom Armbruster gave a presentation on US-Russian relations at the International Club meeting at the Institute of International relation of FENU.   After the presentation the audience of students, graduates, faculty members and representatives of the local diplomatic corps had a lively discussion and jointly came to the conclusion that the benefits of playing a zero-sum game are gone with the Cold War.  Both countries now live in an era in which cooperation is more vital than rivalry.   The meeting provided a unique opportunity for the future leaders and theorists of international relations to ask questions of a practitioner in the field of diplomacy and an official representative of the American government, thus serving as another step in improving Russian-American understanding.
